Annual ROCK Swim Party
The event will start at 3 p.m. and run until 7:30. The pool is open until 6 p.m. on Sundays and the Community Center itself is open until 8 p.m. The Community Center offers a large gym area for shooting hoops or playing volleyball, as well as a fitness center and an indoor walking/running track . For kids who might not be able to tolerate a few consecutive hours in the pool or don't like swimming, there is an indoor play area with climbing structures and slides. We will reserve wristbands for the event (to get the group rate) and they will allow you access to all of the above areas/features. Wrist bands will cost around $7.25 and can be paid for the day of the party when you check in to our conference room.

Each family is asked to bring a gluten-free dish to share during the pot luck dinner, as well as the recipe. We will have banquet tables set-up and there are many plug-ins to keep crock-pot meals warm. Please respond to this email with the number of people in your party and what you will be bringing to the pot luck. Refer to the attachment in this email for the different food categories we are in need of (i.e. main dishes, appetizers, dessert). Please bring your own beverages.
ROCK is paying for the potluck room rental, but attendees will need to p urchase pool passes. The cost to swim under the group rate is $6.93 per person to be paid via check or cash (exact change please) to Julie Jones the day of the event. This fee gets you full use of the indoor waterpark, exercise room (adults & older kids only), indoor playground, and gym. Please note that any child under six needs to be accompanied by a paid adult.
How to Register for the Swim Party & Potluck:
Please can register by going to our Contact Us page and clicking on the "Swim Party & Potluck" in the dropdown menu. When you register, please say how many people you will be bringing as well as what food you will bring for the potluck.
Space filled before the deadline last year, so don’t delay in registering with Julie if you think you can attend. But, please, also notify Julie if your plans change, so we don’t have to turn anyone away who is on the waiting list
Please bring your own plates, utensils, and beverages to the potluck!
Don't forget, the Shoreview Fresh & Natural Foods Store is just a short distance from the Shoreview Community Center if you wanted to do some gluten-free shopping before or after the event. Be advised the store closes at 7:00 p.m. on Sundays.
