Gluten Free Fun Camp!
Additional Camp Information:
R.O.C.K.’s Gluten-Free Fun Camp takes place each summer in partnership with the Camp
Courage. The purpose of the camp is to provide children with celiac disease a "normal" camp
experience complete with all gluten-free food. Gluten-Free Fun Camp also provides an opportunity
for the campers to connect with other kids who have celiac disease. About 40 kids from many
different states come each year to experience Gluten-Free Fun Camp.
Camp Courage is part of Minnesota's Courage Center, a nonprofit rehabilitation and resource
center for people of all ages and abilities who are experiencing barriers to health and
independence. Camp Courage is a barrier-free residential camping facility located on Cedar Lake
near the town of Maple Lake, Minnesota. Set on 305 acres of beautiful lakeshore, woods and
fields, Camp Courage features two campuses with cabins, dining halls/recreation centers, craft
shops and outdoor classrooms. Both campuses share a pool, gymnasium, health center and
horseback-riding arena.
The trained Courage Camp counselors and program staff live in the cabins with the campers, direct
daily activities, supervise diets, and provide excellent role models for young campers. A doctor,
three licensed RN’s, certified lifeguards, as well as program specialists, round out the staff. Camp
Courage is fully accredited by the American Camping Association. For more information on Camp
Courage, you may visit their website at www.couragecamps.org
